Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has stated that Erling Haaland may not play again until next month.
Guardiola claims that the striker’s recuperation from injury has been hampered.
Haaland has been out with a foot ailment since mid-December and has missed City’s previous eight games.
The Norwegian international returned to training last week, giving fans hope that he will play against Newcastle United on Saturday night.
Guardiola, however, ruled out that idea in his pre-match press conference.
“Hopefully, he’ll be ready by the end of this month.”
“It was a little bit more than we had anticipated.” It’s a bone, and it takes time to heal. “He’s been missed,” Guardiola stated.
