Joe Hugill has left Manchester United to join League One side Burton Albion on a season-long loan.
This comes after the youthful Academy striker agreed to terms with the Reds on a new contract on Wednesday.
Hugill just signed a contract extension that would keep him at the club until 2026, with the possibility of an additional year.
Hugill has been training with Manchester United’s first team on a regular basis this season under boss Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag used him as a substitute four times, most recently in Monday’s 2-0 Emirates FA Cup triumph over Wigan Athletic.
Hugill will acquire crucial experience at Pirelli Stadium now.
