Rulani Mokwena, head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, believes Nigerian attacker Victor Osimhen would flourish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Osimhen is the reigning CAF Player of the Year and will lead the Super Eagles to victory in Ivory Coast.
Last season, the 25-year-old scored 26 goals as Napoli won the Scudetto for the first time.
Osimhen also concluded the AFCON qualification season as the leading goalscorer with ten goals.
“Victor Osimhen is a player in excellent form, and we’ve seen his abilities in front of goal.” “He confidently leads the line and scores a lot of great goals, and in tournaments like this, you need goals,” Mokwena told Times Live.
“I also believe Achraf Hakimi is an exceptional player who has the ability to change the course of games in a variety of ways.” Mohammed Kudus is another game changer who I believe will shine at the event.”
