LeBron James and Anthony Davis played in the NBA All-Star game on Sunday night in Indianapolis for a Western Conference team that lost 211-186 to the East in the highest-scoring game of the season.
LeBron’s 20th appearance, marking a record, makes his debut as a starter all the more impressive. LeBron has participated in every All-Star game since 2004, outlasting fellow Lakers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (19) and Kobe Bryant (18). The majority of NBA players never make it to an All-Star game.
LeBron only played for 14 minutes, scoring 8 points with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. It’s possible that he was more concerned with the Lakers’ remaining games and giving his younger Western teammates more playing time.
