Michigan football cornerback Mike Sainristil improved his NFL draft stock on Friday and was one of the biggest risers based on his performance.

Reid talked about the ball skills which are something every Michigan football fan is familiar with. Sainristil had six interceptions during his senior season, including one in the national championship game that helped seal the win in the fourth quarter.
Sainristil measured just 5-foot-9, but he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds. He also has a vertical of 40. His other drills were spectacular and according to Jordan Reid of ESPN, he’s the best nickelback in the 2024 NFL draft.
“Teams that are looking for an immedidate starter at nickel have to be excited about Sainristil’s workout,” Reid wrote.
You had a feeling that Michigan football players were going to do well at the NFL draft combine. They have been prepared for the next level as well as at any other program and there’s a reason Michigan has a combine record 18 players in attendance.
Kris Jenkins did well for himself when he ran a sub-five-second 40-yard dash. But on Friday, it was cornerback Mike Sainristil’s turn to take center stage, and the former wide receiver turned cornerback stole the show.
