Booker (right ankle sprain) is out tomorrow against the defending-champion Denver Nuggets, while Jusuf Nurkić (right calf tightness) is questionable.
Additionally, Josh Okogie (lower abdominal strain), Nassir Little (left knee inflammation) and Damion Lee (right meniscus surgery) are all out.
Booker is reportedly out for the next 7-10 days after suffering the injury in the final minutes of Saturday’s loss to the Houston Rockets, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Phoenix is 4-7 without him this season.
This injury designation is new for Nurkić, who played through neck spasms last night. Nurkić recorded 31 rebounds in yesterday’s loss to the Thunder, the most in the NBA since 2010 and in Suns’ franchise history. The Suns are 0-4 when Nurkić doesn’t play this season.
Okogie was a late scratch from yesterday’s game with a right hip injury. Now we know the extent of what it was. Coach Frank Vogel said after the game Okogie felt discomfort during warmups.
This will be Little’s fourth-straight game missed with the injury. Lee has missed the entire season after undergoing right meniscus surgery in the offseason.
The Suns (35-26) have lost two straight and are currently a play-in team in seventh place in the Western Conference. They have the toughest remaining schedule in the entire NBA, so these injuries certainly do not help.
Tomorrow’s tips off just after 8 p.m. MST on TNT. Denver won the only other meeting between these two teams this season 119-111 on Dec. 1. Both Booker and Bradley Beal did not play in this contest.
