Christian Gass was eager to visit Tennessee in January for what was supposed to be the Vols’ first junior day of the year. They had given him a scholarship offer more than a month earlier, and they already had been talking with him frequently enough to pique his interest.
The four-star Class of 2025 edge rusher/linebacker from Eastside High School in Covington, Ga., wasn’t able to go to Tennessee on Jan. 20 after wintry weather forced the Vols to call off their junior day. But he finally made it to Knoxville last weekend to attend their first weekend practice of the spring, and his first look at the program didn’t disappoint.
The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Gass said the visit “for sure” helped Tennessee. He said he’s already hoping to return for an official visit with the Vols, perhaps during the month of June.
