Samari Matthews visited Tennessee for the first time in June, and he came away with a scholarship offer from the Vols following a strong showing at one of their camps. He finally made it back to Knoxville on Monday to take a closer look at Tennessee.
The four-star Class of 2026 cornerback from Hough High School in Cornelius, N.C., learned more about the Vols during a visit that allowed him to attend their spring practice Monday morning. He said Tennessee again made a strong impression on him, and while he’s still in the early stages of his recruitment, he said the Vols are “up there” among the nearly 30 teams already pursuing him.
