One of Spain’s most well-known prospects in recent history, ratiopharm Ulm’s Juan Nunez, will try his chances in the NBA
In a social media post, the young guard declared that he would be part of the 2024 NBA Draft.
Aged 19, Nunez is a skilled point guard who was raised in Real Madrid’s youth teams. He also found the chance to wear the senior Real Madrid jersey in the 2021-22 season.
After years in Madrid, the Spaniard transferred to Ulm in 2022, where he found many chances to demonstrate his chops in the EuroCup and in the German Basketball Bundesliga.
He also played for the Spanish national team in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
This season, he averaged 10.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game in the EuroCup. In the eightfinals one-match-elimination game against Joventut Badalona, Nunez had 17 points (5/10 FG), 1 rebound, 5 assists, and 2 steals.
