Over the past few weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers have been doing their due diligence in trying to find a new head coach after parting ways with Darvin Ham after two seasons with the team.
Although there have been several candidates mentioned in the team’s search for Ham’s successor in Los Angeles, all signs continue to point to the team hiring first-timer JJ Redick to be the new leader on the sideline.
However, things got a bit more interesting on Wednesday, with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski providing an update about what the team is doing right now during their coaching search.
Apparently, the Lakers are in no hurry to hire a new head coach with “no obvious choice” out there, despite all the hype around Redick, via NBA on ESPN.
“This process is going to take a while. There’s no obvious choice. There just isn’t. There’s no star coach out there available,” Wojnarowski said
