The race for Donovan Starr has continued to heat up since he received a scholarship offer from Tennessee in early March. The Vols recently weren’t one of the top teams he was considering, but his first trip to Knoxville made them more of a contender entering the stretch run of his recruitment.

The Class of 2025 cornerback from Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn., visited Tennessee for the first time Saturday to attend its “865 Live” event. He said the Vols made a strong first impression on him and “shocked me, for sure.”
