KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – One Knox Soccer Club enjoyed an eventful Saturday, handing Forward Madison FC its first loss of the season 2-0 with national champion Kirby Connell in attendance.
Connell served as the team’s honorary captain on Saturday, taking part in the ‘first kick’ ceremony.
Most importantly, a portion of ticket sales from Saturday’s contests benefitted East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Connell has been involved with the hospital for years and was eager to continue giving back to the cause through One Knox.
