In a show of integrity, Janeek Brown, former Jamaican 100mhurdle athlete and former girlfriend of American sprinter,
Sha’Carri Richardson, joined podcaster Kareem Bwoyatingz to speak her truth on the couple’s former relationship.
Brown, who stressed that her presence on the podcast was to inspire others to be their true selves, shared that for a long time she identified as a homosexual, noting that it was her relationship with the American sprinter that helped her ‘come out’.
Speaking candidly about their past relationship, Brown shared that she and Richardson met at an awards show and, at the time, were 21 and 19 respectively.
The former sprinter went on to note that their relationship, which took off during the pandemic, was extremely toxic, involving mental, verbal and physical abuse from both parties, contrary to what the American sprinter initially shared.
