PROVO, Utah — BYU basketball had a high-profile visitor for its win over rival Utah on Saturday night at the Marriott Center.
Four-star shooting guard/small forward Austin Goosby from Melissa, Texas, was in attendance on an unofficial visit and watched BYU defeat Utah 85-74.
Austin Goosby is a four-star recruit in the 2026 class
Goosby is a 6-foot-5, 190-pound prospect in the class of 2026. He’s the No. 39 recruit in the 247Sports Composite rankings. The 247Sports rankings place Goosby at No. 27 in their rankings, and ESPN has him as the No. 28 prospect for the 2026 class.
Goosby reported his official offer from BYU last December.
During the pregame warmups before Saturday’s BYU game against Utah, Goosby was on the Marriott Center floor chatting with BYU’s Director of Nutrition, Danielle LaFata, who was previously with the Phoenix Suns before joining Kevin Young’s staff in Provo.
