Notre Dame has secured a significant addition to its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star cornerback Mark Zackery IV.
Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 165 pounds, Zackery hails from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
His decision to join the Fighting Irish over offers from prominent programs like Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Cincinnati underscores Notre Dame’s strong recruiting appeal under head coach Marcus Freeman and cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens.
Zackery is highly regarded nationally, ranked as the No. 59 overall player and the No. 6 cornerback in the country by 247Sports. He is also considered the No. 3 prospect from Indiana in the class of 2025. His commitment adds to an already impressive Notre Dame secondary class that includes fellow four-star cornerbacks Dallas Golden and Cree Thomas.
During his junior season, Zackery played a pivotal role in leading Ben Davis to a 13-1 record and a state championship. He contributed on both sides of the ball, recording 39 tackles, four interceptions, eight pass breakups, three fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles on defense. Offensively, he caught six passes for 86 yards and a touchdown in the state title game.
Zackery’s commitment not only strengthens Notre Dame’s defensive backfield but also reinforces the program’s ability to attract top talent from within Indiana.
