The BBN received great news on Wednesday evening as Otega Oweh announced his return to Lexington for his senior season.
After testing the NBA Draft waters and receiving feedback from front offices and scouting departments, Oweh is ready to run it back in Lexington for a second season with the Kentucky Wildcats.
It was an impressive junior year for the talented two-way guard, who led UK in scoring while also contributing across the stat sheet. Now, with his return, he joins a shortlist that features several Kentucky greats.
According to Corey Price of the UK Sports Network, Oweh joins Tony Delk and Reggie Hanson as the only players to return for another season after averaging at least 16 PPG, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game.
With a stacked roster next season, Oweh might see a slight down-tick in those numbers this season, but he automatically becomes the star this team needed in the backcourt. Add him alongside a healthy Jayden Quaintance, and Mark Pope and his staff have two potential first-round picks on the roster next season.
