Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu is upbeat about his team’s meeting against Gombe United on Matchday 18.
Ilechukwu stated that the club is intent on repeating their strong start to the league season.
On Saturday (today), the Flying Antelopes will face Gombe United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
‘We missed it in our last match in Benin, no doubt, but that is behind us now, and we are looking and working towards having a great result against Gombe United,’ he told the club’s media.
“Yes, I understand that we are not where we should be, but with the determination I see in my players’ faces, we are on the verge of making our fans smile again.”
“Gombe United is not a small side and we respect them as they have a great tactician in Mohammed Babaganaru but we have our eyes on the maximum points at stake.”
Rangers won 1-0 against Gombe United in their last match in 2022.
Chidiebere Nwobodo scored the game’s lone goal.
